Don Marquez
Don Marquez is an American comic book artist from Sacramento, California. He self-published his comic book ‘Cartune Land’ between 1985 and 1987. During the 1980s, he also worked for Apple Comics (‘Thunderbunny’, 1986), Blackthorne Publishing (‘Werewolf 3-D’, ‘Jungle Comics’, ‘Rambo’, 1988), C&T Graphics (‘Kiwani: Daughter of the Dawn’, 1988) and did a contribution to Dark Horse Presents. In the 1990s, he did pencils and inks on the four issue mini-series ‘Harte of Darkness’ for Eternity (1992), and for ‘The Realm’ (1993) and ‘The Land’ (1999) by Caliber Press. He is the creator of ‘Tiger Woman’ for Millennium Publications, and of ‘The Nostradamus Chronicles’ for Tome Press. Jupiter has made adaptations of several ‘Professor Challenger’ stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, such as ‘The Lost World’ and ‘The Poison Belt’. In 2002 he self-published the first issue of his comic book series ‘Fantastic Stories’ with Amryl Entertainment, and in 2007, he made ‘Alien Pig Far 3000’ with Tom Jane, Todd Farmer and Steve Niles for Image Comics. Don is also a musician and painter.
